*Production Operator

Basic Function:
Involves heavy lifting & ability to follow processes with attention to detail.  Prior manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities:

Carry out daily batching, pulverizing, staging and cleaning as assigned by supervisor.

  • Identify variations in raw materials and equipment which may affect finished product quality.
  • Properly document all work including Batch Sheets, Daily Equipment Logs.
  • Starting pay: $13.25

* Maintenance Supervisor

Basic Function:
This is a working supervisor position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign tasks to Mechanic’s, Electrician, General Maintenance Technicians.
  • Follow up on department assignments and prepare department reports.
  • Procurement of supplies.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks as assigned to include the maintenance/repair of production equipment and/or building systems.
  • Prepare associated paperwork and reports for management.
  • Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary.
  • Maintain personnel records and conduct employee appraisals.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent. Twelve months of education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area.
  • 10+ years of direct experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills and capable of working collaboratively with other departments.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Ability to focus on safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Understanding / training in GMP protocols and commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with IQ, OQ & PQ protocols.
  • Problem solving skills/Training

* Process Engineer

Basic Function:
The Process Engineer is responsible for process optimization and design for new product launches, as well as problem solving and troubleshooting existing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure and establish process standards. Review and adjust standards while conducting scale-up trials in operation equipment.
  • Performs tests and monitor performance of processes throughout stages of manufacturing to determine degree of control over variables such as temperature, mix dynamics, hydrophobicity, viscosity, specific gravity and color.
  • Coordinates with Quality team and troubleshoot problems within manufacturing processes
  • Writes technical papers and reports and prepare standards and specifications for processes. Ability to collect data and organize in an appropriate format to allow review.
  • Works to continuously optimize batch manufacturing processes to reduce out-of spec incidences and in-market product issues.
  • Troubleshoots and interprets product manufacturing issues including identifying root cause and recommending corrective action steps to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Presents on-going manufacturing challenges along with key project issues to management in a clear, engaging and understandable manner.
  • Works with R&D team to lead tech transfer of new products to manufacturing for scale-up and production start-up, including identifying and generating appropriate processes and product/process specifications.
  • Analyze product failure data and laboratory tests in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
  • This position requires a high level of technical skill in the areas of design analysis and risk analysis within the implementation of the scale-up process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or Engineering preferred. Relevant experience will be considered for qualifications.
  • A self-starter with proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills/can work within a team and lead a team on projects
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize
  • Strong trouble shooting and resolution skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Willingness to work hands-on with process equipment
  • Experience working in a cGMP facility helpful but not necessary.
  • Ability to interface with internal departments(QC, QA, R&D, CS and Operations)

* Quality Assurance Manager

Basic Function:
Directs Miyoshi America, Inc.’s Quality Assurance, cGMP and FDA programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and recommends Miyoshi America, Inc. Quality, cGMP and FDA policies, objectives, and goals.
  • Assures that there are qualified personnel, training programs, and system procedures to support the policies, objectives, and goals.
  • Works with the Miyoshi America, Inc. Management Team to:
  • Establish Quality, cGMP and FDA procedures that represent Best Practice and allow us to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Assure that professional staff are in place to carry out their assigned responsibilities
  • Promote Quality, cGMP and FDA awareness and compliance through on-going training programs
  • Assist in building and equipment upgrades that complement our business plans
  • Assist in customer service support such as sales visits, project management, and problem solving.
  • Writes and reviews Process Validation Protocols. Writes, Executes and Reviews Cleaning Validations. Reviews and updates SOPs.
  • Evaluates results of Environmental Monitoring.
  • Performs internal audits, Annual Product Reviews.
  • Conducts/Reviews OOS investigations, Product and Customer Complaints
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of regulatory issues for cGMP’s. Conducts cGMP training
  • Assures compliance with FDA requirements and company SOP ‘s.
  • Reviews and approves Operation Deviations and actions; Corrective and Preventative Actions
  • Identifies and implements Continuous Improvements.
  • Control and review Supplier Approval Program
  • Ensure that Corrective Actions Plans are in place for deficiencies and actions appropriate over time.
  • Manages change control

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, or related science field
  • Experience level of 15+ years in Quality, cGMP and FDA.
  • Proven Quality Assurance experience in various phases of pharmaceutical development.
  • Ability to direct a multi-faceted program over diverse business units
  • Solid organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of FDA and GMP regulations
  • Proven ability to formulate and implement corrective actions and improvements
  • Experience in the development and validation of manufacturing processes and analytical methods.
  • Broad based knowledge of cosmetics or pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, testing, storage, and distribution.
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • High level of credibility with customers and industry organizations
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks, work with interruptions, prioritize workload, understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
