The most difficult part of using inorganic colors in formulations is the formulators’ ability to achieve the optimum color strength for each raw material. The challenge is to get the particle size as close as possible to the primary particle size, and maintaining the particle size at that level throughout the formulation process.
The Miyoshi Group has developed a range of dispersions using a hybrid patented surface treatment on Titanium dioxide and Iron oxides in D5 cyclomethicone. The two layers of hybrid treatments are combined to allow high dispersibility, and high concentration loads of the powders in the vehicle. This range of dispersions is showing very high color strength, and offers the easiest way to handle pigments in make-up as well as in skin-care formulations.
