MiyoNAT ISA

MiyoNAT ISA is a Vegetable-based Isostearic Acid that offers a light lubricious feel and can be used in many skincare and color cosmetic applications.​ This treatment was developed to replace and offer an alternative to the popular but suspect Triethoxycaprylylsilane treatment in the personal care industry.

Triethoxycaprylylsilane (or Alkylsilane -ALT) treatment has been the gold standard for surface treatment by many raw material suppliers as well as surface treatment companies like Miyoshi America.  And Alkylsilane is used because of its ability to disperse easily in many oils and various formulations, as well as its relatively low cost.

However, with the current trend in “natural” materials and fear of alkylsilane being pitched as a Micro Plastic Bead (MPB) once coated onto a powder, customers will have problems moving forward with no alternative solution.​ MiyoNAT ISA will be able to provide the “natural version” of alkylsilane treatment with excellent dispersibility in various oils. ​
